Thankful for the Journey: A Realtor’s Reflection This Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite times of the year—a moment to slow down, gather with the people we love, and remember that gratitude is the foundation of a meaningful life. As I reflect on this past year in real estate, I can’t help but feel overwhelmed with thankfulness for every person, every closing, every challenge, and every opportunity that God has placed on my path.

Real estate truly is more than contracts and closings—it’s a calling, and this year has reminded me of that in so many ways.

Grateful for the Clients Who Trust Me

Every family, every buyer, every seller who chooses to work with me is placing their faith in my ability to guide them through one of the biggest decisions of their lives. That trust means everything to me.

Whether I’m walking a first-time homebuyer through the process step-by-step, helping a family upsize, or supporting someone through an unexpected life transition, I am humbled each time someone says, “We want you on our team.”

Grateful for the Homes That Hold Our Stories

Homes are more than walls and roofs—they’re where memories are created, children grow, dinners are shared, and life unfolds.Helping someone find their space or confidently sell the place they’ve cherished is a privilege I never take lightly.

Grateful for the Community We’re Building

From supporting local causes, to making raffle baskets for fundraisers, to giving back through United With Care, to hosting open houses and consultations over coffee—every connection strengthens the community I love serving.

This year has reminded me that giving back starts at home… and it starts with the people God places in front of us.

Grateful for Growth, Challenges, and New Chapters

Real estate isn’t always easy. There are long days, complicated transactions, and unexpected hurdles.
But every challenge brings growth, clarity, and a deeper appreciation for the work I get to do.

And as I continue expanding Gillian Gooch Properties, creating new systems, and preparing for the next chapter, I’m reminded just how blessed I am to serve in this role.
